Tarkhan Sehembakhar

CHARACTER BIO

War is not simply violence. War is the application of logic and violence on a grand scale. A warrior may slay dozens of enemies, but what does it matter if he starves marching to the next battle?  Tarkhan understands this, and as a proud scion of the finest military academy in Shen, he was raised with an encyclopedic knowledge of the 20 Essential Truths, the great commentaries on it, and of course, the military history of the world, particularly the Throne Wars.

He leads soldiers in battle as a conductor leads a symphony, for he understands that his role is not to bathe himself in glory and bloodshed but rather to ensure that victory is achieved, whatever the cost.  He is not some pampered noble’s son, sent to the academy out of tradition.  His training was in the field, directing soldiers against Akrathil’s legions in the north of the Empire.  He has seen thousands die.

He has made decisions that has led to the death of friends.  This only fuels his pride and his mission.  He will ensure that the Shen Empire lasts another five thousand years, and that insurance lies at the end of many blood battles for supremacy. He cares not for what is tasteful or sacred. He cares only for achieving his goals, and that is how he serves his people.
