It all started when…

Their Clestial Knight Gabriel was defeated by the arch-traitor. In his stead, they wage their battle against the vile followers of the Daemon King. They are pious, committed, and strive to retain a sense of decency in an increasingly embittered world. They survived by fleeing their city which was formerly the capital of their great empire, now the seat of the Daemon King, and taking up in fortress monasteries whose locations they keep a closely guarded secret. Their numbers are filled with Paladins, Clerics, Priests, Inquisitors and all manner of devoted servants. 

A typical party of Divine Avengers consists of a mix of spiritually oriented warriors such as Paladins, Monks, Priests and Clerics. They are typically few in number but well equipped, superbly trained and absolutely committed.
